This site is located directly across from Woodbine Race Track, which has recently received approval by Toronto City Council for what may be the city’s biggest single development application since the amalgamation. A massive 750 million dollar entertainment complex adjacent to the woodbine race track. The developers Woodbine Entertainment Group and Baltimore–based Cordish Co., intend on building a 330,000 square foot development featuring shops, restaurant, a skating rink hotel, theatre and other attractions, expect to create ten thousand new jobs.

There is also discussion of turning the Woodbine racetrack into a full casino similar to Niagara or Rama.
